The tiny bar of soap that always greets you in the bathroom. Ever thought about where that soap comes from or what goes into producing it? All right then, let us find out the fascinating story behind hotel soap!

And most products have been produced even for thousands of years, like soap. It wasn't until the early 1800s that soap was manufactured in large scale and many bars were made at one time. A certain William Hesketh Lever started manufacturing soap in 1878 and named his company Sunlight Soap. It was pretty smart of him, really - he knew if he put a bar in hotel rooms that 1) guests would wash their hands and faces with it every day during the stay or business trip), [and]2) maybe even fill small bars into suitcases! It was a clever move to encourage more people to try his soap.

The Science Behind Creating Perfect Hotel Soap

If you've ever made soap, it seems like such a simple thing to do — just put some stuff together and let it harden. But, the task of soap making is easier said than done. It includes blending oils, lye and water which is other special chemical. Every bar of soap will also contain different ingredients for making it smell good or feel soft and silken on the skin. Soap makers test new batches of soap over and over again to get them right. That is perhaps good news as that might mean they will change either ingredients or volumes they use until ultimately determining a recipe for their soap.
